3 months out

T-minus 3 months:
Today (according to our moving planner), we are supposed to sit down and talk with the kids about how to take responsibility on our move. Hope will take care of her stuffed animals and pack the right clothes for her trip. Josiah will try not to hit his head on anything. Paxton said he'll take care of the outside house and Lisa will take care of the inside house. The kids will be thrown outside everyday...ha ha

Hope wanted to go say "good-bye" to the giraffes at the zoo, so we headed down there to say good-bye. It was bittersweet as we fed them crackers and petted their big noses. Josiah was so scared of the beasts that he threw his cracker on the ground and ran. Still he was curious to look from a distance.

We are debating whether to move our house by ourselves and save money or let the movers come and take away the hassle and stress. We are leaning towards letting the movers take care of the big stuff while we take care of the kids. Still praying about this one.

Today, our house goes up for sale. Let's hope for a quick sale...

Another Hope Funny or Profound Thought

Dinner Time tonight:
Hope: Mom, have you ever noticed that Winnie the Pooh does NOT sleep through winter time???
Mom: Hmmmm...very interesting that bears normally do sleep through winter huh?
Hope: And did you notice that he wears clothes!!!
Mom: So, do you think he's a real bear or a pretend bear?
Hope: He's a real bear, but maybe he's like me and doesn't like to sleep.

Washington DC

Recently, Hope has been learning a lot about Abraham Lincoln and various presidents. Soon, she will be learning all about our capital, as we are about to MOVE to Washington D.C. this summer.

Paxton was asked to go to school in the DC area, so we are "about-facing" and directing ourselves in this direction. It should be pretty exciting. Neither of us know anything about the area, so if there are any good friend/family out there who would like to give us advice, we welcome it!!!
