After 30+ inches of snow, we were sooo ready to get a little bit of sun. The roads that morning was just packed ice. We drove less than 25 miles per hour all the way up to Baltimore port. The roads were worse than Colorado winter. Foolish drivers were driving 55 mph and sliding all over the place. A few landed in the ditch in front of our eyes. We were quite afraid that someone would crash in front of us and block the traffic. Some people were walking on the roads as their cars had slipped off the side. It was a horrendous drive, and all of us were stressed to the maximum. Finally, the roads cleared up and before us was our boat:

Our inside stateroom. The kids enjoyed their bunks for about 10 minutes. After that, they asked to sleep on the ground the rest of the trip, so the room steward put the bunks up and we put blankets on the ground and they had a blast sleeping all squished together in a sardine-can room. Actually, it was pretty fun and we were fine without a window.

Yum! Lisa ate four of these tails. 
At Port Canaveral, we did our own excursion and went to Brevard's Zoo. It's a private place with very unique animals. Here, Hope and Lisa are petting a baby alligator.
At the petting zoo, this alpaca just couldn't get enough of Hope's cheeks. It kept kissing her, so Hope is protecting her pink cheeks from its kisses. The alpaca would hum for us.
What zoo would let you hang out with a monitor lizard? This was too cool to pass up. The entire family would chase after this lizard and pet it. The poor lizard just wanted to get away and drink some water.

Grandma got into the action by letting birds fly into her hand. She didn't even had food to bribe this creature!
Nassau, Bahamas. We've never seen blue like this water before; we are still amazed at its color. The kids were with the grandparents, so we went snorkeling. Of course, the Bahamians thought we were nuts as it was one of the coldest days. It was in the 70's and the wind was howling through the town, but this was our only chance to go for it, so we booked our own excursion.
Our excursion turned into a private one. We saw so many species of fish, we can't even count. Ah, the beauty of God's creation just amazes us. Every color of the rainbow in the waters. We LOVED how the sargent majors would swim with us as we floated around looking for the elusive moray eels. We never did find one
It really was quite cold that day, so we were so glad to have the wetsuits. Our driver told us that this water is normally clearer but they are dredging up the harbor so it's cloudy.
Our second formal night: we tried to go all black, but Lisa's a bit color blind. No, she didn't have a formal black dress.
After dinner, the kids wanted to go dancing, so here they are cutting up the floor. Josiah did a few cool moves, but he was moving too fast for the camera.
