Josiah's Dedication at New Life Church

Josiah has been in our family for 2 months, and this morning, we had the wonderful privilege of dedicating Josiah to the Lord, in front of our friends and church family. We realize this does not guarantee Josiah's salvation, but we wanted to make a public proclamation that we resolve to bring our child up in the way of the Lord. What a powerful moment to feel our child being prayed over by so many people. Thanks to the Hellings for taking these pics.

Up front, singing "How Great Thou Art". Josiah looks like he's right on key, there, but he was probably just drooling...haha!
Handing Josiah over to Leda Rupert (Associate Children's Pastor) as a symbol of our handing him over to the Lord. During this time, Josiah kept reaching out to his Ba Ba. He is clearly attached to Paxton.
Josiah found Ba Ba's nose to be a great distraction during the time of praying.

The Chappeaus THEN and NOW

1995, Beloved college friends. We knew Josh (LEFT), all through our years at Washington U in St. Louis. He was a two year old toddler. Later, Caleb (Middle) and Selah (Right) joined the Chappeaus. Gerry and Sharie were our "parents", while they shared with us the love and vision of our Lord Jesus.

May 2007: Josh is taller than both of us! He's still a cutie pie (but don't tell him that now!) Then, there's Caleb and Selah, two very beautiful teenagers! Man, do we feel old. Then, there's Gerry (the one that doesn't fit), who is the dad to these great kids. Gerry married us, and Sharie, his wife, was Lisa's matron of honor.

This is Sharie, Mom Chappeau, my matron of honor. This was a picture we took in 1999. Sharie looks just the same, so I don't have to update her pic. We LOVE you guys so much!

Walking for LIFE

Hope and I will be walking for life on June 2, Saturday, and New Life Church. We'll be walking about 2 miles to support Crisis Pregnancy Centers. Please pray for Hope and me while we walk. Pray that it will NOT rain and that we will enjoy the fellowship of others who are walking for life. If you are in town or around New Life, please join in!
